Our very own Peet Strydom brings a word that was on his heart about supporting church leadership. He looks at the Old Testament laws that were set up to care for the priests of that time and looks at how the spirit of those laws are applied to the New Testament church. Peet also looks at some New Testament teachings about practical ways to support and care for the leadership in the church.
Peet Strydom presents a great overview teaching on the spiritual discipline of fasting. He walks through the scripture to show the different accounts and purposes of fasting. Whether deliverance, intersection, repentance or clarity and direction... in the end the primary purpose of fasting is to draw near to God. That has to be our heart. Peet also teaches on the practical and physical aspects of fasting and informs us with what to expect with our bodies so we don't freak out!!
This week Peet Strydom delivers a word about Faith. He talks about the mixture of excitement and anxiousness. Imagine Noah spending 70 years building a boat for an geological event he had no context for. Think about Abraham who just went when God told him to go or his wife Sarah whose initial reaction to God's promise was laughter. God is faith to fulfill His promises and we should be encouraged and challenged by the Faith Hall of Fame in Hebrews 11. Imperfect people trusting a perfect God.

Peet shares his heart from Romans 12. Paul is encouraging the church to be honest about where they are at and to use their giftings with faith, ancored in love. For more gifts and love see 1 Corinthians chapters 12-14.
Peet shares the story from 2 Kings about Hezikiah and his prayer life. He was relentless in his pursuit of God even after the prophetic word came. In this case it worked out very well. : )
